Phuket reports nine new virus cases
Nine more people have been found infected with Covid-19 in Phuket, raising the total to 62, the Phuket communicable disease committee announced yesterday.
Of the 62, 54 are still receiving treatment and are in a satisfactory condition while eight others have recovered and have been discharged. The new cases were included in the confirmed cases summary announced earlier by the Public Health Ministry.
The nine new cases — the 54th to the 62nd — comprise seven Thais and two foreigners.
The two foreigners were a Canadian man teaching at an international school in Phuket and a French tourist.
Most of the nine people confirmed with Covid-19 had visited entertainment places in the Patong area.
