SURVIVING THE PANDEMIC IN STYLE
Under the Emergency Decree and a partial lockdown until the end of April, citizens are asked to employ social distancing and to stay at home, and to minimise physical contact in order to contain Covid-19.
Founder of Issue fashion house, Bhubawit “Roj” Kritpholnara has launched Survival Box Sets to help people get through the pandemic, which originated in China late last year.
The first imported case of lab-confirmed novel coronavirus was reported in Thailand on Jan 13 by the Ministry of Public Health. As of March 30, the country’s number of Covid-19 cases has increased to 1,524, with nine fatalities.
Contributing to the prevention of the disease were the distribution of face masks and alcohol hand gel to the general public. In February, the brand collaborated with the Kiss Models modelling agency in a T-shirt project to raise funds for the Ramathibodi Foundation, and the treatment of coronavirus patients.
Under the “We Will Survive Together” social-donation project, Bhubawit supported medical professionals in tackling the outbreak, by delivering face masks and personal-protective-equipment suits to the Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital.
Likewise, fashionistas can stylishly protect themselves from the virus by wearing a face mask and Issue Survival Cap or Bucket Hat with a removable face shield.
The chic cap and face masks, along with a bottle of alcohol hand gel, a fabric tote bag and 5,000 baht voucher are included in the Survival Box Set, worth 8,610 baht.
The cap is replaced by a T-shirt with a jungle print in the second set, worth 9,010 baht.
The box features a colourful print inspired by imaginative jungle paintings by French Post-Impressionist Henri Rousseau. Thanks to AR technology, the jungle scene is animated, with sound effects.
At a special price of 5,000 baht, the limited-edition Survival Box Set is available through Facebook (IssueThailand) and Line@issuethailand or the Issue Thailand Application.
