Create Artist Studio, the newest addition to the contemporary art floor at River City Bangkok, is promising to bring out your artistic qualities through a variety of art lessons conducted by teachers and celebrity artists.
As a co-creation, co-art space for artists, the studio is the right place for both novice and experienced, young and old, or for anyone who might find their doodling to be art but still want to learn more about sketching, watercolour, still life, landscapes, or portraiture painting, or photography. Moreover, a full range of art supplies are also available for sale at the studio.
The studio is run by Andrew Clark, who has curated art gallery tours in Victoria, Canada, and the team of Smiling Albino, a travel company known for its exceptionally curated excursions throughout the Mekong river basin countries.
In each class, art teachers will bring the most picturesque landscapes and fascinating towns and villages to guide students through techniques that will awaken the artist within.
There are also classes outside the studio in the small streets of Bangkok’s creative district, riverside areas of Chinatown, and green pockets of
Klong San and the Portuguese community of Kudee Jeen.
To correspond with the “Van Gogh. Life And Art” digital multimedia exhibition, which is running at River City Bangkok until the end of this year, the studio is offering five art classes on different painting techniques used by the Dutch impressionist painter.
The classes include “Van Gogh Creative Landscape Painting”, “Van Gogh Copy Landscape Painting”, “Van Gogh Copy Portrait Painting”, “Van Gogh Creative Portrait Painting” and “Van Gogh Still Life Painting”.
Running on a different time frame during the first two weeks of July, each class will last for three hours and is limited to four-10 persons. They will be conducted in Thai with English translation available. The fee is 990 and 1,200 baht per person including all materials.
