Lianne La Havas / Weird Fishes

British soul singer Lianne La Havas has developed quite an affinity with Radiohead’s 2007 single Weird Fishes/Arpeggi after having performed its cover as part of her live shows for nearly a decade. In fact, she loved it so much that she finally puts out a studio version of the song, recorded in her London hometown with her original band. “I get eaten by the worms/ And weird fishes/ Picked over by the worms/ And weird fishes,” she offers during the a cappella chorus, atop the stripped down arrangement that does away the nervy energy of the original.
