Land broker cuffed at petrol station

CRIME: Police have arrested a wellknown land broker who cheated a landowner out of 100,000 baht in a sale of a plot of land on Saturday.

Crime Suppression Division commander, Pol Maj Gen Jirabhop Bhuridej, said Areeakhan Pathan, 56, was arrested at a petrol station in Nong Phai district in Phetchabun.

Mr Areeakhan is a notorious figure in Phetchabun who is known for his influential connections, said the CSD commander.

He is accused of cheating a landowner out of 100,000 baht in the sale of a 68-rai plot of land in Kaeng Khoi district of Saraburi.
