Drugs found in hostess’ body
BANGKOK: An investigation into the death of a hostess who died on Feb 23 has revealed that substances contained in the k-powdered milk, or “k-nom pong” drug cocktail, were found in her body, according to Dr Manus Potaporn, deputy director-general of Department of Medical Services.
Dr Manus told the press that the body of hostess Whitchayaporn Visessombut, 33, contained ketamine, ecstasy, methamphetamine and diazepam, which are used in the drug cocktail that recently killed many users. Whitchayaporn was hired for a job on Feb 22 in Bangkok and was pronounced dead the following day. Doctors said she died from respiratory failure. Police later raided a house, where she and several other women had worked, in Chatuchak district as part of an investigation into the death. The drug cocktail is said to cause hallucinations and harm the nervous and respiratory systems.
