In his eighth solo exhibition, Verapong “Ayino” Sritrakulkitjakarn explores beauty and reality and the invisible link between the past and the present. Verapong, who is known for elaborate oil paintings created without prior drafts, expresses spontaneity and interconnectivity of things in his artworks as he believes everything is related to each other. His paintings are always mesmerising to behold for being melting pots of cultures, bringing together East and West, as well as classic icons to pop culture icons. The opening reception is on Mar 7 from 6pm. Number 1 Gallery opens 11am-7pm from Tue to Sun.
