Migrants nabbed at border

Nine Myanmar migrants have been arrested for entering the country via the northern Thai-Myanmar border in Mae Sai district.

They were caught on Tuesday night and allegedly confessed to crossing the border to seek jobs in Thailand.

Authorities have also arrested a 51-year-old Myanmar man for entering the country so he could be treated for haemorrhoids at Mae Sai Hospital. The man was caught on Tuesday evening and is being held for questioning at Mae Sai police station.
