Cheap SIMs for labourers

-

The Labour Ministry plans to give pre-paid mobile phone SIM cards so employees can take online training courses.

The prepaid SIMs scheme is a collaboration between the Department of Skill Development (DSD) under the Labour Ministry and National Telecom.

Deputy Labour Minister Narumon Pinyosinwat said gifting the SIMs was a low-cost project, requiring 90 baht for the first activation for each card with a 30-day validity and 70 baht each time thereafter.

Applicants must take a copy of their ID cards, photos and evidence of registering for a training course via the “shop.totmobile.net/shop/products/StartupSimforlabor.aspx” website by June 15.
