DIGITAL QUALITY OF LIFE INDEX
Performance of selected Asian countries
Notes: Surfshark, an international cybersecurity company, ranked 110 countries based on five fundamental pillars of digital well-being: internet affordability, internet quality, e-infrastructure, e-security and e-government.
Denmark topped the table with a score of 0.8313 out of a maximum of 1. It was followed by South Korea, Finland, Israel, the United States and Singapore.
Internet quality in Thailand is impressive, ranked 19th worldwide, with the second best broadband speed (189.54 Mbps) on the planet.
But while the internet is becoming more affordable in Thailand, it is still around 40% more costly than the global average and ranks 58th, based on the amount of time a person has to work to purchase a basic package. E-security (63rd) is also weak.
Thailand also has room for improvement with e-government — it ranks 51st, surp-paasseseddininAAseseaannbbyyMMaalalayysisaiaaannddSSininggaappoorere. .
