Centara to debut UAE hotel on Oct 14

-

Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai is set to debut its 607-room beachfront hotel and waterpark nestled in the United Arab Emirates’ Deira Islands on Oct 14.

The opening of this mythical Thaiand Arabian-themed resort marks the first Centara establishment in the UAE and its third Centara Mirage property after Thailand’s Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya and Vietnam’s Centara Mirage Resort Mui Ne.

Thirayuth Chirathivat, chief executive of Centara Hotels & Resorts, welcomed the news and highlighted the group’s continued expansion into the international market.

“It gives me great pleasure to introduce Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai, our inaugural resort in the UAE, as we continue to bring our timeless values of Thai hospitality to travellers around the world. The Centara Mirage concept immerses visitors in a world of wonders, creating unparalleled guest experiences,” he said.

The new resort, which overlooks the Arabian Gulf, is a joint venture between Centara and the UAE-based developer Nakheel on Dubai’s latest offshore attraction Deira Island.

This artificial island expanded Dubai’s coastline and served as a testament to the iconic city’s mega transformation efforts to turn Dubai’s coastline into a world-class hub for tourism, retail and entertainment.

Omar Khoory, Nakheel’s chief assets officer, praised Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai as a unique concept in hospitality to Dubai and added that the resort opening is also in line with the Emirates’ tourism strategy.

“Our joint venture with Centara Hotels & Resorts is an example of our commitment to partnering with reputable, international hotel brands to bring new tourism concepts to Dubai in line with the government’s tourism vision.

“We are delighted that one of Thailand’s biggest, most popular hotel operators has chosen to invest in Dubai and help us create another unique offering at Deira Island,” said Mr Khoory.

Located 30 minutes from Dubai International Airport, Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai boasts 607 rooms and suites with contemporary space and gorgeous views, nine dining experiences from a chic rooftop shisha lounge and Lebanese restaurant to a traditional Argentinian grill, a water park with a lazy river, a candy-themed children’s spa and a beach club.

Sebastien Scheeg, Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai general manager, invited travellers to explore the new wonder.

“We are delighted to welcome the world to Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai, a fully immersive oasis that will excite visitors of all ages with its enchanting Thai and Arabian themes,” he said.

“With our fantastic leisure facilities, including our beautiful beach and wonderful waterpark, this spectacular new resort is set to become a favoured destination for families and exceptional events,” said Mr Scheeg.

The original Central Mirage property, the Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya, opened in 2009.
