Preparing for a soy extravaganza
People indulge in vegetarian dishes on Yaowarat Road in Bangkok’s Chinatown during the annual vegetarian festival, which runs from Oct 6-14. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration announced the festivities are on hold this year because of the pandemic. Samphanthawong district has issued Covid-19 preventive measures for business operators, workers, food service providers and caretakers of shrines and vegetarian eateries.
