arcel service operator Kerry Express has been listed on the SET’s Thailand Sustainability Investment (THSI) list.
Its selection acknowledges Kerry Express’s commitment to good governance and social and environmental responsibilities, the company said in a statement. The company has implemented several new initiatives that strengthen these values, it added.
Kerry Express Grow Green is a pilot project in Bangkok that uses electric motorcycles to deliver parcels. The practice aims to reduce energy consumption and help Thailand move towards a low-carbon society.
The company also collaborates with various companies from both the public and private sectors to distribute medical equipment such as powered air-purifying respirators and personal protective equipment to frontline workers and those affected by the pandemic.
Kerry Express said it prioritises the safety of employees and consumers. It encouraged more than 20,000 employees to receive their Covid-19 vaccinations while integrating technology, including contactless delivery and contactless payment (QR code) to promote safe delivery services.
To be included on the THSI list, companies must receive a score of more than 50% on 17 ESG criteria, covering actions that address climate change, energy and water conservation, ESG risk management and innovation.
