THAI resumes full services on 36 routes
Thai Airways International (THAI) said it will resume full services on 36 routes to help boost tourism and aid the nation’s economic recovery starting Oct 31.
Nond Kalinta, the airline’s chief commercial officer, said yesterday that services to destinations in Europe, Asia and Australia will be geared up for the country’s reopening and expected growth in passenger demand.
The 36 routes comprise seven round trips catering to Phuket Sandbox travellers, 10 round-trip routes to and from Europe and Australia, and 19 to and from Asian destinations, he said. He said the flights were scheduled to run until March 26 next year.
Services will be offered in strict compliance with the Covid-19 prevention measures set out by the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand’s (CAAT), he said.
The seven routes catering to the Phuket Sandbox scheme are: Bangkok-Phuket-London, Bangkok-Phuket-Frankfurt, Bangkok-Munich-Phuket-Bangkok, Bangkok-Phuket-Paris, Bangkok-Phuket-Copenhagen, Bangkok-Phuket-Stockholm, and Bangkok-Zurich-Phuket-Bangkok.
The Bangkok-Phuket-London and Bangkok-Phuket-Frankfurt flights will run three times a week. The Bangkok-Phuket-Paris flights will operate twice a week while the rest will run once a week.
