ID rules relax for state services
BANGKOK: The public is no longer required to present a photocopy of their ID cards or household registration when using services at state agencies under the Department of Provincial Administration.
In a letter sent to provincial governors nationwide, the department has told its service units to comply with an announcement scrapping the requirement.
The change will reduce the public burden and it is also in line with the government’s Thailand 4.0 strategy to steer all state agencies through digital transformation, it said.
