WHAT IT SMELLS LIKE FOR A GIRL

IMPERFECT II / KALWIT STUDIO & GALLERY / UNTIL FEB 6

-

Waruncharat Laaiadsin is inspired by Kintsugi: Embrace Your Imperfections And Find Happiness - The Japanese Way, a book written by famous Spanish psychologist Tomas Navarro. One quote, in particular, resonates with her and it reads, “Don’t feel ashamed of your scar. Don’t cover it up, don’t hide it. In contrast, make it beautiful because, in it, you have the best proof of your strength.” Waruncharat conveys the concept of kintsugi or the beauty of imperfection through imperfect girl characters. Their imperfections are painted to accentuate their beauty, strength, confidence, and awareness of their own worth. Each painting comes with a scent to help convey the emotions and feelings behind it. Each visitor will receive a red envelope containing smelling strips that they can spray different scents on. “Imperfect II” is on show at Kalwit Studio & Gallery (fb.com/kalwitgallery) in Ruam Rudi 2.
