Govt ratchets up plastic ban plan
ENVIRONMENT: The cabinet has approved plans to ban four more types of plastic this year as part of its 2018-2030 Plastic Waste Management Road Map scheme.
Attapol Charoenchansa, chief of the Department of Pollution Control, said the cabinet will ban the use of four types of single-use plastics by the end of this year.
They are bags thinner than 36 microns, Styrofoam food containers, plastic glasses thinner than 100 microns, and straws.
