Advanced Info Service (AIS), the country’s mobile market leader in terms of subscriber base, has partnered with Vimut Hospital to support turnkey technologies to transform the facility into a smart healthcare provider.

The move is intended to foster a better user experience, shorten work processes, and provide omnichannel strategic approaches to reach out to more customers.

Tanapong Ittisakulchai, AIS chief enterprise business officer, said healthcare is one of the key industrial targets for its enterprise business, alongside manufacturing, transport, property, healthcare and agriculture.

“AIS is building an ecosystem and drawing together tech providers and industry experts to help drive digital transformation and forge a new business model as part of the company’s ambitious plan to support Thai businesses with new abilities in the digital era,” said Mr Tanapong.

The support for Vimut Hospital includes turnkey solutions, a data centre, data management, and digital services, he said, adding that AIS will also help develop a Vimut Hospital application, which will include a vaccine service system, telemedicine and cloud contact.

“We have been trusted by Vimut Hospital to upgrade their potential for smart healthcare, which is our first turnkey project for a hospital,” said Mr Tanapong.

“We have provided a fully integrated network infrastructure, ICT infrastructure, data processing, and digital services through the application to drive the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services.”

Dr Santi Ueanoraset, director of Vimut Hospital, a private hospital owned by developer Pruksa Real Estate, said the facility provides affordable and easy-to-access services.

He said it capitalises on digital tech to stay agile and flexible, and aims to improve the process workload, bringing safety for patients and enhancing the service experience.

The hospital can provide telemedicine services to follow up on the health conditions of patients at home, Dr Santi said. For Covid-19 cases, it can provide home isolation services for patients.

He said the facility bridges homes and the hospital, which supports quality healthcare and good living.

The hospital has invested 100 million baht in technology infrastructure.

The Vimut app does not only handle appointments, but can also check medical treatment records, including X-rays and scan results, Dr Santi said.

Technology can help the hospital provide a better user experience in the omnichannel realm, he noted.

“The collaboration between Vimut Hospital and AIS is aimed at levelling up the hospital to be a fully smart hospital equipped with the network infrastructure for designing internal services and solutions as they are required by Vimut Hospital,” Dr Santi said.
