November: An extensive selection of Indian dishes is highlighte­d at Orchid Café’s weekend buffet lunch and weekday dinner. Featured items include tandoori-grilled chicken tikka, pea and paneer cheese curry, rogan josh mutton curry, fluffy pulao rice and Punjabi samosa pastries. The Indian delicacies are offered amid an array of internatio­nal cuisine dishes including fresh seafood on ice, Italian pasta and pizza, European cheese and cold cuts, prime roasted meats and Chinese, Japanese and Thai classics.

November: Dishes prepared with imported Chinese hairy crabs are highlighte­d at The Silk Road restaurant. Three cooking styles, each priced at 2,000 baht, include steaming with Chinese tea leaves, stir-frying with egg white and braising in a superior thick soup.

Eastin Grand Sathorn (02-210-8100) November: The Glass House grand weekend buffet, available for Saturday dinner and Sunday lunch, highlights prime seafood including fresh king crab, sea crab, oysters, river prawns, New Zealand mussels, snow fish and cheese-baked lobster. Meanwhile, a selection of sushi, sashimi and tempura is available at Japanese corner and an array of pork porchetta, Wagyu beef picanha, roasted Australian lamb shoulder and baked teriyaki salmon are on offer at the carving station. The price is 1,950 baht net per person. Children under 12 years of age receive a 50% discount.

Hotel Indigo (02-207-4999) November: Char restaurant launches an all-new menu to celebrate its new Mexican-born chef de cuisine Jaime Rojas. His signature dishes include roasted pork belly with creamy polenta, coriander chimichurr­i and sautéed bok choy; lobster rice with carnaroli rice, a gochujang sofrito, mussels and the meat of a whole Boston lobster; grilled Wagyu beef tenderloin and wood-fired steak tomahawk.

Mandarin Oriental (02-659-9000) Nov 8: A festive internatio­nal buffet dinner entertaine­d by Thai dance performanc­es, a human-puppet show, songs by an award-winning singer and a firework display is featured at the Riverside Terrace. The highlights, among the over a hundred culinary offerings, include whole roasted pig with condiments, grilled blue river prawn, grilled lamb chops, Ligurian red wine-braised baby octopus with soft polenta, Saffron risotto in Parmesan wheel and a wide selection of authentic Thai dishes. Prices are 6,500 baht net per adult and 3,000 baht net per child inclusive of a pre-dinner krathong-making workshop.

Royal Orchid Sheraton (02-266-0123) Nov 8: To celebrate Loy Krathong Festival a series of gala dinners entertaine­d by a Thai classical performanc­e and fireworks is featured at Thara Thong Thai restaurant and Giorgio’s Italian restaurant with a compliment­ary krathong for the guests. At Giorgio’s, the all-you-caneat feast, priced at 4,800 baht per person, includes roasted Australian prime rib, rolled pork belly, charcoal grilled barbecue, baked sea bass, whole smoked salmon, pan-fried French foie gras, Italian cold cuts and a selection of seafood on ice that includes Alaskan king crab, New Zealand green mussels, rock lobster, blue crab and tiger prawns. While Thara Thong’s six-course Royal Thai set menu, priced at 3,800 baht per person, includes Fine de Claire oyster with special green coriander Thai dip; spicy and sour snow fish with roasted garlic, shallot, lime, chilli and hot basil leaves; massaman curry with Australian lamb shank; and fried jumbo tiger prawns topped with southern yellow curry sauce and crab meat.

Nov 8: An all-you-can-eat internatio­nal dinner to celebrate Loy Krathong day is offered at Riverfront Poolside with various entertainm­ents at 5,000 baht net per adult and 2,500 baht net per child. On the same evening, Next 2 Café’s buffet lineup highlights Canadian Lobsters, freshly-shucked oysters and Alaskan king crab legs, at 3,500 baht net per adult and 1,750 baht net per child. While Salathip Thai restaurant offers Thai cuisine set menu at 5,000 baht net per person. A compliment­ary krathong is provided for every two people.

Anantara Siam (02-126-8866) November: Madison steakhouse launches a new menu that celebrates its new chef de cuisine Christian Caluwaert. His menu includes American-styled slow-cooked Wagyu brisket; a Steak Diane flambéed with cognac; Ibérico Joselito pork cheeks in red wine gravy sauce; tomahawk steak; and grilled Boston lobster with garlic herb butter. Meanwhile a “House of Eden” afternoon tea, a collaborat­ion between the hotel executive pastry chef Anupong Nualchawee and a Bangkok-based artist Atthakrisn­a Vannason, is showcased at the Lobby Lounge. The tipple time culinary creations, priced at 1,950 baht per set for two people including a selection of Mariage Frères teas, take cues from a whimsical terrestria­l journey in the biblical story. Expect to find delicacies such as Envy Apple and Earl Grey macarons; “naked” apple tartlet with chestnut leaf; beetroot and crab meat rillettes; and scones with a choice of apple & cinnamon and cream cheese butter flavours.

Centara Grand at CentralWor­ld (02-100-6255)

November: A variety of Basque Country’s “pintxo” tapas is highlighte­d at Uno Mas restaurant. With prices starting from 180 baht per dish, the options include black mussels in escabeche sauce; gambas prawn with Paris mushrooms and bacon; octopus potato and pimento; a la plancha beef tenderloin with foie gras and Pedro Jimenez raspberry sauce; porcini mushrooms with garlic, parsley and truffled Manchego cheese; mini croissants with chakta crab and Marie Rose sauce; and txistorra sausage rolled in puff pastry. Meanwhile, Singapore-style crab dishes are on offer at Dynasty. The menu includes stir-fried mud crab meat with Singapore chilli sauce and mud crab with black pepper sauce. At Red Sky restaurant, dishes prepared with autumn black truffle, Glacier 51 toothfish and French foie gras are the seasonal highlights.

Grand Hyatt Erawan (02-254-1234) November: Spasso French bistro highlights flame-baked tarte flambée prepared to the Alsace tradition. The selection includes Alsacienne flammekuec­he tarte with bacon, onion and Isigny cream; Basque tarte flambée with Bayonne cured ham, piquillos peppers and piperade sauce; Gasconne tarte flambée with foie gras, duck confit, and cèpe mushrooms; and Provençale tarte flambée with fresh tuna, tomato, grilled vegetables and garlic aioli. Prices start from 240 baht per piece.

Renaissanc­e Ratchapras­ong (02-125-5000)

Until Nov 5: A ‘Halloween Afternoon Tea’ featuring items such as Mummy chicken sausage roll, Devil charcoal bun with chorizo, Monster shrimp taco, black sesame Swan choux, banana Ghost cup cakes and mango S’mores is featured at R Bar. Price is 1,188 baht per set for two persons inclusive of teas and crafted mocktails and 1,688 baht per set inclusive of cocktails.

Siam Kempinski (02-162-9000) November and December: A new seasonal menu, dubbed Winter Journey, is featured at Michelin-star restaurant Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin. The multi-course menu includes all-time favourite soy sauce salty meringue; tom kha truffle ice-cream cornetto; five-spice pork croquette; king fish flan in miso; the green curry snow fish lava cake; duck confit pad kaprao with peas and quail egg; and pistachio soufflé with pistachio tuile and pandan ice cream. An eight-course meal costs 2,150 baht per person; 10-course 3,200 baht; and 16-course dinner 3,900 baht. Additional wine pairings are priced from 1,700 baht to 2,900 baht.

St. Regis (02-207-7777)

November: Michelin-starred Igniv Bangkok introduces a new seasonal menu inspired by European autumn. Featured dishes include quail with truffle, spinach and panch phoron spices; red polenta, foie gras, apple and raisin; sunchoke with macaron and pickled red onion; black cookie with veal tartare and quail egg; Brussel sprouts with shallots and lemon; onion with mustard and lingonberr­y; deer with butternut squash and apple; and ice cream with mushroom. Price is 4,500 baht per person.

Asawin Grand (02-159-5888) November: Sarasawade­e all-day-dining restaurant recommends its internatio­nal daily buffet lunch, priced at 590 baht net per person. Dishes include roast duck, crispy pork, salmon and tuna sashimi, sushi rolls, dim sum, lava charcoal bun, mushroom cream soup, spinach lasagna, spaghetti carbonara, tomato sauce pasta, grilled seafood and salad bar.

New grilled seafood buffet dinner, priced at 999 baht net with premium dim sum, sushi and sashimi, is featured from Monday to Saturday.

November: Hong Kong-style suckling pig and dishes prepared with hairy crab are highlighte­d at Yok Chinese restaurant. Prices are 2,800 baht per pig and 990 baht per crab. Meanwhile a dim sum lunch buffet is on offer at a special discount price of 859 baht net per person.

Miracle Grand (02-575-5599) November: Prempracha­korn restaurant offers an internatio­nal buffet at 490 baht net for daily lunch and 590 baht net per person for dinner Sunday to Wednesday. The menu includes smoked duck breast, roast pork with plum sauce, sushi, pasta, spaghetti, som tum, pork larb, miang khum and salad bar. Seafood on ice is added in the dinner buffet line on Thursday to Saturday at 790 Baht net per person. Dragon Luxury Chinese Cuisine meanwhile features 25% discount on Peking duck, dim sum and a la carte such as crispy prawn with mayonnaise fruit salad in taro nest, wok-tossed prawns with salt and chilli sauce, black sesame dumplings served with ginger tea.

Anantara Riverside (02-476-0022) Nov 8: Riverside Terrace features a special dinner buffet to celebrate the Loy Krathong festival at 3,599 baht net per adult and 1,599 baht net per child. Trader Vic’s four-course set dinner, at 2,999 net per person, includes smoked Hokkaido scallops with cauliflowe­r veloute and oscietra caviar; Jerusalem artichoke and almond bisque with poached Canadian lobster; a choice of sous vide Chilean sea bass with grape cream or Japanese Wagyu ribeye with madeira jus sphere; and a Thai coconut and lotus seeds dessert. While a scenic five-course Thai cuisine dinner on board a teak boat along the Choa Phraya River is offered at Manohra Cruises at 3,999 baht net per person, or 5,999 baht inclusive of free-flow alcoholic drinks.

Nov 8: Skyline restaurant’s buffet ice bar will be overflowin­g with jumbo oysters, prawns, blue swimmer crabs and slipper lobsters. There are also gourmet dishes including premium sashimi, crab omelette, crispy soft-shell crab burgers, assorted salads and cold cuts and premium barbecue. Prices are 1,500 baht per adult including free-flow soft drinks and 600 baht per child. Seen Restaurant & Bar presents a four-course dinner entertiane­d by mini-concert. Priced 4,000-4,900 baht per person, the dinner features dishes such as beef carpaccio, lobster and crab salad, choice of lamb duo or Hokkaido scallop and matcha genoise dessert.

Anantara Chiang Mai (053-253-333) November: The Service 1921 restaurant’s highlighte­d dishes include a wide selection of dry-aged beef steak, namely USDA Prime St Helens Farms bone-in prime rib, Stockyard Gold Black Angus fillet, Westholme Farms wagyu picanha and Miyazaki A4 Wagyu striploin; as well as grilled Maine lobster with beurre noisette, lemon, parsley and garlic; and wild halibut fillet with Béarnaise, capers and dill.

Cape Panwa, Phuket (076-391-123) November: Panwa House restaurant recommends Andaman Seafood Mountain sharing platter. Priced at 2,900 baht, the platter includes crab, lobster, tiger prawn, oyster, salmon and tuna accompanie­d by a selection of seafood sauces and dipping.

November: The Orchard restaurant recommends its Tuesday internatio­nal cuisine lunch buffet, priced at 480 baht per person, and Wednesday internatio­nal cuisine dinner buffet, priced at 580 baht per person. Children under 12 years of age pay half price.

Meliá Chiang Mai (052-090-699) Nov 8 and 9: Mai Restaurant &

Bar presents a four-course menu, blending northern Thai cuisine with Mediterran­ean influences, to celebrate the Loy Krathong festival. The menu includes dishes such as egg net-wrapped peppery shrimp; golden parcel of chicken curry; baked salmon trout with green chilli relish; and slow-cooked tender pork ribs in curry sauce. Price is 2,999 baht net per couple including a glass of red or white wine and selection of fine teas or Spanish coffee.
