As Christmas nears, The Body Shop Thailand makes finding gifts easy at its stores with a collection curated for a good cause.
From the Christmas Collection, the brand will accumulate 0.08 baht for each item sold in November and December. The total amount will go to Yolo Zero Waste, to support its production of plastic recycling machines. An acronym for “You Only Live Once”, Yolo devises innovative tools for sustainable waste management.
The Thai social enterprise shares the same passion as The Body Shop in eliminating plastic waste. Customers can participate in its in-store recycling programme by dropping off discarded plastic packaging, which will be given a second life. The Body Shop also maximises recycled content in its packaging as another sustainable practice.
The Christmas Collection comes under the theme “For You — For People — For Our World” to reinforce its charter for change.
The changemaking starts with ourselves and its beauty products help one look and feel good through natural ingredients including essential oils.
Changes include its Community Fair Trade programme and activism against human trafficking. Besides the plastic crisis, The Body Shop has been involved in fighting climate change and minimising air and water pollution to help save the planet.
The gift sets include a special edition comprising vegan Spiced Orange shower gel, body yoghurt and hand balm, with the bottle and tub made with 100% recycled plastic.
The comforting Spiced Orange scent features orange peel essential oil and notes of vanilla and cinnamon while the shower gel and hand balm are respectively enriched with Community Fair Trade organic aloe vera from Mexico and shea butter from Ghana.
Pine essential oil mingles with mint and sandalwood for the liberating and refreshing Wild Pine scent featured in special-edition shower gel, body lotionto-oil and hand balm.
The Fresh & Festive Edelweiss set provides facial cleanser, serum and eye serum concentrates powered by antioxidant-rich edelweiss extract. A gua sha stone is also included as a tool to perform a facial massage for a glowing complexion.
Gifts for healthy and shiny hair include a set of Moringa shampoo, conditioner and hair mist plus bamboo hairbrush.
The Box of Wishes comprises 24 boxes containing products in various scents, such as mango shower gel, tea tree face wash and strawberry lip butter for head-to-toe beauty.
