PRESS BRIEFINGS
TUESDAY: The Thai National Shippers’ Council (TNSC) holds its monthly meeting from 10.30am until noon. TNSC chairman Chaichan Charoensuk is scheduled to announce the official export figures for April at the briefing, which takes place online via Google Meet (https://meet. google.com/zft-tvhn-jav).
The Trade Policy and Strategy Office is holding a press briefing to announce the Consumer Price Index for May. The event starts at 10.30am at the Commerce Ministry.
Millennium Group Corporation (MGC-Asia), a listed firm that imports and distributes cars and yachts, hosts a press conference on MGC-Asia Mobility Expo 2023, scheduled for June 14-18 at Siam Paragon. The briefing takes place at Siam Paragon’s BMW Millennium Auto showroom from 10am to 1pm.
WEDNESDAY: Leo Global Logistics plans to sign a strategic cooperation agreement with Sahathai Terminal to launch an intelligent cold chain logistics centre that uses automation and robotic systems. THURSDAY: BMW Group Thailand hosts a press conference on the “Choiceisyours 2023” competition, a collaborative effort between BMW Group Thailand, the Chaipattana Foundation, Microsoft Thailand, SCG, Central Group, Delta Electronics (Thailand) and Noble Development. The competition encourages students to showcase their creativity in designing project ideas based on the circular economy concept (reduce, reuse, rethink and recycle), helping to make a constructive contribution to society and the environment. It aims to promote innovative thinking among young people, helping them transform their ideas into reality. The event is from 1.30-3.15pm at Microsoft Thailand, 38th floor, CRC Tower, All Seasons Place.

THURSDAY: Job Expo Thailand 2023 starts today at Event Halls 100-102, Bitec Bang Na. The fair, which continues through Saturday, features a variety of full-time and freelance job opportunities. There is also a zone at the expo dedicated to career development and guidance.
SEMINARS
WEDNESDAY: The European Union (EU) presents a seminar on the promotion of its export products. The event runs from Wednesday to Thursday, featuring importers and exporters of products from EU states, along with major retail business groups, including operators, hotels and restaurants. David Daly, the EU ambassador to Thailand, plans to attend the two-day seminar held at Bangkok Marriott Hotel The Surawongse.
The Export-Import Bank of Thailand (Exim Bank) in collaboration with Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (Nexi) host a seminar entitled “Exim Thailand and Nexi Collaboration: A New Chapter Begins” to jointly promote knowledge and financial tools, such as credit and risk prevention tools, for 100 Japanese and Thai entrepreneurs to access new opportunities in trade and investment in Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. Nashida Kazuya, Japanese ambassador to Thailand, and Pasu Loharju, chairman of Exim Bank’s board of directors, are to co-chair the opening ceremony. The event takes place at the Ballroom, 1st floor, Capella Bangkok from 1-4.50pm.
THURSDAY: The National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (Biotec) under the National Science and Technology Development Agency, in collaboration with King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, invite entrepreneurs and academics in the aquaculture industry to attend their “International Symposium on Current Development of Vaccines and Feed Supplements for Aquaculture” and “High Tech Drugs for Thailand: Biopharmaceutical and Animal Vaccine Production in Thailand and Beyond” seminars. The seminars are conducted in English and take place at the Grand Ballroom, C floor, Grande Centre Point Terminal 21.
FRIDAY: To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC), the university is organising a seminar entitled “How to Drive Tourism and Services to be Stable and Sustainable?” The event is from 11am to noon at the Event Lab, 7th floor, Building 23, UTCC.
