Chakrapol is another proof that environmental issues are never far from young executives’ minds these days. And that ocean wastes can become something beautiful and wearable. Last year, he teamed up with Tlejourn Shoes — a Pattani-based project that upcycles wastes found on beaches into soles — to create a limited-edition, made-toorder line of flip flops, KHYA. Chakrapol is also the executive director of Seacon Group, an umbrella company comprising, among others, Nanyang, MSG manufacturer Thai Churos, and Seacon Square shopping mall. Chakrapol is currently pursuing a PHD in technopreneurship and innovation management at Chulalongkorn University. His marketing work for Nanyang has earned him numerous local and international awards, namely Asia Marketing Federation’s Asia’s Top Outstanding Marketeer of the Year 2018 and seven Marketing Association of Thailand awards between 2017 and 2019. In five years, Chakrapol sees himself simply as happy as he is today. When he’s not working, he loves to spend time with his daughters.
