OUT OF THIS WORLD

Inspiration for a bespoke Rolls-royce can come from just about anywhere – and in the case of the marque’s latest creation, literally everywhere. Commissioned through Rolls-royce Abu Dhabi, ‘Wraith – Inspired By Earth’ takes its design cues from the solar system and earth’s place in it. The Royal Blue exterior represents the 75 percent of the Earth’s surface covered by water, while the bonnet artwork depicts a satellite’s-eye view of the Middle East region. Centred on the UEA, this panorama extends across the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, and the Gulf of Oman, all meticulously hand air-brushed and finished with an emerald green coachline incorporating the sun and the other eight planets. The interior, by contrast, focuses on the Earth’s natural life, with moccasin leather seats that mimic desert sands, and navy and cobalt blue accents suggestive of rivers and lakes.
