With physical freedom being restricted during the lockdown period, which obviously coincided with the time during which this Louis Vuitton Cruise 2021 game-inspired collection was created, artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière has used his creativity to express his desire for freedom. Playing with canvas, and lines mingling between the monogram flowers and four suits of a card deck, he conjures up a fantasy world where clubs bloom, spades pierce, diamonds sparkle, and the almighty heart reigns supreme; making each and every iconic bag – the Petite Malle, Vanity PM, Dauphine, Speedy, Neverfull, and Keepall and even the Archlight trainers – a statement piece for the season.
