WORK HARD, PLAY HARDER
Our first cover of the year is graced by none other than Savarut “Gy” Sereethoranakul — kick-starting 2021 with a spirited bang. The assistant to the managing director of his family’s business, and the current CEO of JS Asia Beverage, there’s something about Gy’s buoyant, almost gung-ho, persona that brings about a vitalising burst of energy on set.
As we exchange warm wishes, and express our hopes for a better year to come, Gy tells us he’s particularly looking forward to what lies ahead. “It should be a very exciting year. I’ll be moving into my new penthouse, which I’m really looking forward to. It’s Versace-themed, after my favourite brand, and lately I’ve been dedicating all my time to decorating it.”
For someone who’s rather unapologetic about his love of fun and the finer things in life, one often wonders who the real Gy truly is. “I’m an extreme kind of guy,” he says simply. “Whether I’m working, travelling, or having fun, I always go all the way — there’s no in between. You either go all out or you go home. Work hard, play harder, right?”
