Under the Hammer

Homegrown pearl brand, Matara, held their first offline pearl auction at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Co-founder and former Prestige cover personality Jongjin Jungsura welcomed her guests to an afternoon tea, after which a total of 10 pearl jewellery pieces and an oil painting by the co-founder and art director of Matara, Salil Andraphan, were auctioned. As with the brand’s previous online auctions, a percentage of the total amount raised benefitted the ‘Inner Peace is the New Success’ project – a non-profit organisation whose aim is to build a place for meditation in Ubon Ratchathani.
