Game night just got a whole lot swankier with Tiffany & Co.’s mahjong set, which comes presented in a signature Tiffany Blue leather case lined with grey synthetic suede and fitted with a lock and two keys. The 150 tiles and 120 scoring sticks are made of three layers: an American walnut wood base and a white surface carved with motifs given their colours by a Tiffany Blue, black and/or grey core underneath. The four dice are decorated with Tiffany Blue enamelled dots and made of sterling silver, which lends it a nice weight for tossing. The 80 coins feature cut-outs of numerals and are beautifully rendered in black, Tiffany Blue, grey and white. Just so you won’t lose any piece from this precious set, four removable leather tile trays, a leather box and four American walnut wood tile rests are provided for better storage and organisation. While the jeweller’s stylistic interpretations of traditional characters and symbols paid due respect to their Chinese roots, we love that it took the creative licence to spice up certain suits, especially the cheeky introduction of Jean Schlumberger’s iconic Bird On A Rock design for the Bird tile and the snowflake motif in place of circles for the Coins suit.
