MAKHA BUCHA DAY

For Buddhists in Thailand, Makha Bucha is a day of spiritual reflection and visits to the temple. It is the second most important Buddhist festival of the year, and is celebrated on the full moon day of the third lunar month. This year it falls on a Friday, which gives everyone a nice long weekend. However, keep in mind that there is always a 24-hour alcohol ban imposed on this particular day, which will run from midnight on the 25th to midnight on the 26th.
