Eco-friendly Option

IWC Schaffhausen now offers Timbertex straps made from a low- impact, paper-based material. Boasting a soft and supple texture, the material is composed of 80 percent natural plant fibres unlike synthetic leathers, which are often plastic- or petroleumbased. Crafted in Italy using traditional paper-making techniques and coloured with plant-based dyes, the material’s irregular grain makes every strap unique. The durable, water-resistant straps take over 60 different steps to create, are padded with recycled microfibre for extra comfort, and are finished with recycled thread. Offered in blue, brown and black, the straps complement four models: the Portugieser Chronograph, Portugieser Automatic 40, Portofino Automatic and Portofino Chronograph.
