A New Perspective

Jaeger-lecoultre has commissioned celebrated American artist Michael Murphy to create the fascinating art piece, Spacetime. It further expands the manufacture’s cultural and creative universe by exploring the relationship between the physical dimensions of space and the fourth dimension of time. Murphy has invented a new formula for rendering two-dimensional images as suspended three-dimensional mobiles, which require the beholder to view it from various positions in order to fully appreciate them. The recently launched Reverso Tribute Nonantième was chosen to be represented in the artwork as it expresses time in an entirely different manner on each of its faces. Following its debut at Watches & Wonders Shanghai in April, Spacetime will be exhibited in key cities over the year.
