CAPTURE ALL THE ACTION
Canon recently announced the development of their EOS R3; a high-end, full-frame mirrorless camera that boasts a compact and lightweight dual-grip body, as well as some truly futuristic tech functions. One headline feature is the 30fps burst shooting, with full AF/AE tracking and minimal rolling shutter, made possible by the new stacked image sensor – the first ever in an EOS camera – that delivers blisteringly fast readout speeds while minimising distortion. Also garnering a lot of attention is the Eye Control Function, which uses the photographer’s eye movement to select the initial position for autofocus or subject tracking (when using the EOS R3 viewfinder). This next-generation version of autofocus tech promises ultra-intuitive control in demanding situations, making it perfect for sports photography, shooting wildlife, and capturing life’s most unscripted moments.
