Described as the first restaurant in town to serve a progressive Thai-chinese chef’s tasting menu, Potong is an atmospheric, multi-storey dining destination housed in an historic Chinatown building on Vanich 1 Road. Owner Pichaya Utharntharm, more famously known as “Chef Pam”, gives a thoroughly modern interpretation to classic dishes; taking adventurous diners on a memorable 20-dish journey of five senses and five elements – salt, acid, spice, texture, and
maillard reaction (the distinctive flavour of seared, browned, and toasted foods). Each of the venue’s four opulently decorated levels seats just a few guests, starting with the first-floor Sino Bar
(1-6 pax), which evokes the spirit of Bangkok’s late-night Chinatown, and continuing upwards to the second-floor Main
Dining Hall (1-10pax), the shrine-like 8 Tigers Room on the third floor (2-4 pax), and the fourth-floor Peacock
Exclusive Room (4-8 pax).
