Prestige (Thailand)

SWEET SIXTEEN

-

We had an epic, talk-of-the-town party planned to celebrate Prestige Thailand’s 16th anniversary this month. Alas, with the Covid-19 pandemic still holding most of the world in a firm grip, our plans had to be temporarily put on ice. That doesn’t mean though that we can’t bring you an issue worthy of our reputation as Thailand’s leading arbiter of style, so the September issue is packed with our customary handpicked, curated content from front to back.

In fact, our cover shoot with private banker Chayuda “Nina” Jiaravanon is quite a treat. Shot on location in Singapore, where Nina is based, we had the privilege to have access to a number of lavish high jewellery creations from Bulgari’s latest Magnifica collection – the most valuable collection the Roman jeweller has produced in its 137-year history. The spectacular Imperial necklace Nina is wearing on the cover image boasts a 131.21-carat spinel from Tagikistan as its centerpiece. It’s the fourth largest spinel ever found, but widely considered to be the most beautiful in the world.

Despite the pandemic, the world of luxury keeps turning – as is evident from all the new launches, exciting innovations and jaw-dropping beauty brought to you from all the corners of the globe.

When Prestige was launched in Thailand in 2005, and in the years since, there have been a number of other titles competing on the luxury landscape of the Kingdom’s publishing sector. Our early approach to a 360-degree ecosystem, with the print issue being complemented by prestigeonline.com/th, social media platforms, exciting events, weekly newsletters and other groundbreaking initiatives, has stood us in good stead, and today Prestige is the only English-language luxury lifestyle magazine remaining in Thailand. We are very proud of this distinction, and are dedicated to continuing with a progressive formula for success that always keeps abreast of the times we live in.

On behalf of everyone at Prestige, I would like to thank our readers, clients, collaborators, suppliers and supporters for your loyal, continued support. Without you we would not have been able to survive – no, thrive – during these challenging times for the publishing industry. We look forward to an exciting future, and for you being part of our story.

Happy birthday to us!
