Executive Chef Sebastiaan Hoogewerf and his team have taken inspiration from the delicate scent and colour of lavender to create an afternoon tea to enjoy – in authentic Japanese style – while working, or relaxing, at home. The set, imaginatively called ‘Afternoon Tea Picnic in Lavender Fields’, comes delivered in beautiful pine boxes that are presented furoshiki style (using a traditional Japanese wrapping cloth). Inside, a mouthwatering array of delectable desserts await, including a lavender panna cotta, exotic lavender madeleine, lavender chocolate bon bons, lavender blackcurrant macaroon, blueberry cheesecake tart, blueberry cake, and purple potato daifuku (a small round dumpling-style treat, stuffed with sweet filling).
