AHEAD OF ITS TIME

When the Lamborghini Countach had its dazzling debut 50 years ago, it made waves with a futuristic design style that was definitely ahead of its time. Its most distinctive feature is the single longitudinal line that visually connects the front and rear, a stylistic trademark that has since gone on to influence the design of all subsequent Lamborghinis, including the Aventador, Huracán, Sián, and the Urus. In celebration of the Countach’s 50th anniversary, Lamborghini introduces the Countach LPI 800-4, a futuristic reimagining of the iconic 70s original that’s engineered for the 21st Century. Under the hood sits a powerful V12 hybrid engine, with 48-volt e-motor and supercapacitor technology delivering 780 cv from the thermal unit and 34 cv from the electric one. This limited edition series numbers just 112, which references ‘LP 112’, the internal project name used during the Countach’s original development. Exterior colours available include heritage-era solids – Impact White, Giallo Countach, and Verde Medio – as well as contemporary metallics. Expect to see this superior sports car in 2022 at Lamborghini Bangkok’s showroom on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road.
