Better Late Than Never

-

Although the amusingly named The G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time) restaurant had its soft opening almost a year ago, enforced Covid closures have kept it shuttered for all but three months since that time. Making it, technically, still kind of new. Located on Ekkamai Soi 10, the restaurant’s open-plan kitchen is overseen by Chef Pakorn “Tan” Kosiyapong, the talent behind both the Ekamian and One Ounce Chang Chui. Here, his elaborately prepared 13-course tasting menu puts a spotlight on recipes from Southern Thailand, all created using the freshest seasonal local ingredients. As for the beautifully designed interior, it’s highlighted by a colourful, lavishly illustrated wall mural in the main dining room depicting a woman and – you guessed it – a goat (referencing the Chinese zodiac sign of Chef Tan’s mother). Come December, expect a new menu launch to coincide with the “official” grand opening.
