CHINESE NEW YEAR

As January draws to close, the Chinese New Year begins, this time ushering in the Year of the Tiger. Much like their namesakes, those born in the Year of the Tiger are said to be independent, fearless, loyal, and have high self-esteem. Strong in the face of adversity, tigers seldom back down from a challenge. They are persistent and determined, with a free nature and strong sense of justice – which can also lead to them being rebellious and sometimes too self-confident. The Chinese New Year, also known as the Lunar New Year, kicks off the Chinese ‘Spring Festival’, which this year extends until February 11.
