Although now based in the Swiss city of Schaffhausen, H. Moser & Cie can trace its origins to the imperial Russian capital of St Petersburg, where it was founded in 1828. To reference that history, the company has unveiled this time-only, 42mm Heritage Bronze “Since 1828”, with dial logo in Cyrillic characters and enormous numerals that we imagine might be found on Soviet-era pilots’ watches. Idiosyncratic this 50-piece limited edition may be, but we have no complaints about the black sunburst dial, the onion-shaped crown or the beautifully worked HMC 200 movement, which is visible through the caseback.
