Code Deciphered

Audemars Piguet continues to enlarge its Code 11.59 collection, the latest addition being this Tourbillon Openworked version, whose 41mm case in interweaved white and pink gold contrasts with the hand-finished movement’s grey bridges, barrel and gear train, and the slender pink-gold hands. Like all Code 11.59s, the Tourbillon Openworked, which is inspired by the piece made for the Only Watch auction in 2019, features a doublecurved sapphire crystal, which enhances the frontal view of the hand-wound Calibre 2948; the skeletonised movement provides a reserve of up to 70 hours.
