Tasty Trattoria

At the far end of Sathorn Soi 12, where Bunker once stood, you’ll now find Cetara, a bright and breezy Italian eatery named for a tiny town on the Amalfi coast. With the aim of recreating the easygoing vibe found in small, seaside trattorias, the restaurant boasts the combined talents of Paolo Vitaletti and Manuelo Pintore (of Appia and Giglio fame), and Tim Butler (the man behind Bunker). Here, the dishes focus solely on the diverse and delicious produce from this particular part of Italy, with freshly baked Neapolitan-style pizzas, fresh whole fish grilled with lemon or baked in a salt crust, a crudo menu that changes regularly, risotto lobster with stracciatella, and seafood-centric pastas like linguine with fresh Italian vongole veraci (clams), and freshly made scialatielli pasta with tiger prawns. The interior design incorporates colourful tiles from local Amalfi artisans, while the bar serves up classic Italian cocktails, and (mainly) Southern Italian wines.
