Authentic Cantonese cuisine has come to the 3rd floor of Gaysorn Village with the recent opening of Hei Yin. Dedicated to presenting a modern take on traditiona­l Chinese, the restaurant uses premium ingredient­s – mostly imported straight from Hong Kong – and employs a team of seasoned chefs who have experience working in five-star hotels. The spacious, modern interior includes four uniquely decorated private dining rooms, while the expansive menu lists well over 100 tantalisin­g items. Highlights include the signature lychee wood roasted Hong Kong-style suckling pig, the braised fish maw soup with abalone, sea cucumber and dried scallops, and freshly baked desserts such as Hong Kong egg tarts, Huangqiao-style sesame cake, and baked snow bun with almond milk cream. And, rest assured, there’s also a wide selection of freshly made Hong Kong-style dim sum delectable­s, ranging from dried scallop dumplings with shrimp and pork, to steamed crab meat dumplings with spinach and crab roe and pork dumplings.
