VILLA DEL BALBIANELLO
Regarded as one of the most stunning villas to be found in Italy’s renowned Lake Como region – situated right on the tip of the Lavedo Peninsula – Villa del Balbianello has a history that dates back to the late 1780s. The undeniable opulence and glamour of this property, with its finely furnished rooms and magnificent gardens, has made it the perfect setting for many famous movies, including A Month By The Lake, and the James Bond film Casino Royale. While Villa del Balbianello is an unforgettable place to create lasting memories, it’s not possible to stay there overnight. However, just a few kilometres down the road is the equally luxurious Villa Balbiano (don’t mix up the two) which offers six luxurious suites in the main palazzo, each designed by renowned interior decorator Jacques Garcia. Incidentally, Villa Balbiano is no stranger to Hollywood either, having been featured in the recent film House of Gucci.
