THE STANDARD, BANGKOK MAHANAKHON

All eyes will be on the iconic King Power Mahanakhon building next month as The Standard hotel brand gets set to officially launch their 155-room Asia flagship property in Bangkok. Designed by Spanish artist Jaime Hayon, in collaboration with The Standard’s own award-winning in-house team, the property’s aesthetics will fuse vibrant colours, fluid shapes and an abundance of lush greenery, with evolving art installations thrown into the mix as well. Meanwhile, the dynamic array of F&B offerings is set to include: the first international outpost of the Standard Grill steakhouse; elevated Chinese cuisine at Mott 32; Mexican-inspired fare at Ojo, on the rooftop; and cocktails and music in The Parlor lounge. Visitors will also have access to sweeping views of the city from the highest al fresco “sky beach” in Bangkok, while on the ground floor the highly curated retail offerings include local and foreign fashion, travel necessities, and home goods.
