LET’S TALK ABOUT IT
According to the World Economic Forum, the four key principles of a meaningful conversation are humility, curiosity, generosity, and accountability. Magic happens when honesty, vulnerability, expression of opinion and ideas, and collaborative conversation are evident. While a conversation can have many purposes, what really makes it meaning ful is the power to co-create, confirm our understandings, and seek solutions to personal and societal challenges. A meaningful conversation can, therefore, ecreate bonds of trust that can build collective action. Asking deeper questions, listening more intently, and creating shared understanding through conversation is a powerful conduit for transformation.
The month, ‘The Conversation Issue’ seeks to achieve just that. From cover personality Pavitporn “Fai” Kanathanavanich (Page 38), third-generation heiress to the Laemthong Corporation Group’s agricultural empire, who makes a compelling case for staying close to family and being content with who you are, to a line-up of 10 well-known personalities who share their views on what it means to be a modern-day gentlemen (Page 57) – and packed with other interesting opinions on a wide array of topics in between – this issue will no doubt give you a lot to talk about.
A topic that is certainly the talk of the town is the mega, mixeduse One Bangkok development (Page 124) that’s embodying a bold vision for the future of urban living in the Thai capital.
