Hy­att Re­gency Bangkok Sukhumvit ap­points Si­cil­ian-na­tive Fred­erik Fa­rina ex­ec­u­tive chef and direc­tor of food & bev­er­age. Hav­ing worked in South­east Asia for 16 years, the 47-year-old chef spent the last seven years in a sim­i­lar role at the Hy­att Re­gency Danang in Viet­nam. With its grand open­ing sched­uled in the first quar­ter of 2019, Fa­rina will over­see the culi­nary at­trac­tions at the ho­tel, par­tic­u­larly fo­cus­ing his en­ergy on the top three storeys that fea­ture a sky­high, multi-pur­pose event venue with a ta­pas bar and a two-level rooftop bar. The new ho­tel, which com­prises 273 rooms and three din­ing rooms, is lo­cated in the city cen­tre and of­fers di­rect sky-bridge ac­cess to the Nana BTS skytrain.
