His Majesty grants 20 tonnes of hay for flooded-af­fected cat­tle

His Majesty the King has granted 20 tonnes of hay to cat­tle farm­ers in flooded prov­inces, the Live­stock De­vel­op­ment Depart­ment chief said yes­ter­day.

So­rawit Than­ito, di­rec­tor gen­eral of the depart­ment, said 1,000 bales of hay would be kept at four si­los in three prov­inces to help farm­ers save their cat­tle.

So­rawit and Agri­cul­ture Min­is­ter Kris­sada Boon­rat presided over a cer­e­mony at the depart­ment head of­fice in Pathum Thani to send the roy­ally granted hay to the four prov­inces.

He said 100 bales would be sent to a silo in Wiset Chaicharn dis­trict and 100 bales to Sawaeng Ha dis­trict in Ang Thong.

He said 600 bales of hay would be sent to Sena dis­trict in Ayut­thaya and 200 oth­ers to Sap­paya dis­trict in Chai Nat.
