Power lines moved in preparation for Heroines Underpass project
THE THALANG BRANCH of the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA Thalang) has begun moving power lines and supporting poles along Thepkrasattri Rd in preparation for construction of the underpass to be built at the Heroines Monument.
Both sides of Thepkrasattri Rd (Route 402) are to be affected from in front of Wat Tha Reua, located south of the Heroines Monument, all the way to the Thai Watsadu outlet near Thalang Town, PEA Thalang explained in a notice issued late on Apr 22, one day after the work had started..
The work will continue through to June 30, PEA Thalang noted.
The work is required to allow the Phuket Highways office to proceed with the construction of the underpass to be built at the Heroines Monument, the notice explained.
“In this regard, the Provincial Electricity Authority Thalang branch apologises for the inconvenience,” the notice read.
Areas adjacent to where the power lines are being moved have already started experiencing power outages while the work is being carried out.
The low-voltage power system at Redwood House in Noo 2, Srisoonthorn, was affected from 9am to 4:30pm on apr 23.
The high-voltage power network supplying the Supalai Essence and Supalai
Hill housing estates ‒ both located west of the Heroines Monument in Moo 3, Srisoonthorn ‒ were affected from 9am to 4:30pm n Apr 24.
People living or working in any areas near where the work is being carried out along Thepkrasattri Rd are advised to check the PEA Thalang official Facebook page daily for any late announcements of power outages. The Phuket News
