IZOCAM TO BECOME CARBONʊNEUTRAL BY 2050
The insulation materials manufacturer Izocam aims to become a carbon-natural company by 2050, according to Murat Savci, General Manager of Izocam. Investments to be made by the company to reduce carbon emissions are expected to exceed EUR 4m by 2025. Izocam also aims to reduce its carbon footprint by 33% by 2030. In order to achieve this, the firm has created an investment plan that stretches to 2025, as a first step. “We are working to install solar panels and low energy electrical equipment in all production plants. We’ll merge sustainability with digitalization, a process that we have already focused on for the last two years,” said Savci. Automation at Izocam’s manufacturing plants is also a part of the company’s digitalization strategy, according to Savci. “We plan to decrease our energy consumption with automation. We aim to increase energy efficiency by using more efficient machinery equipment. We’ve set up an energy tracking system for this,” said Murat Savci. LEYLA ILHAN
