AGRICULTURAL INPUT PRICES BREAK A RECORD
The Agricultural Input Price Index (Agriculture-IPI) increased by 8.52% in November monthly, 32.60% compared to December 2020, 36.20% on an annual basis, and 25.40% over a 12-month average, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat). Thus, the index broke another record monthly and annually. As for monthly changes in critical groups: goods and services contributing to the agricultural investment index rose by 4.24%, while goods and services currently consumed in the agricultural index increased by 9.18%. Annual changes for the same critical groups are as follows: goods and services contributing to the agricultural investment index surged by 25.68% year over year, while goods and services currently consumed in the agricultural index surged by 37.93% in the same period.
