DOGANLAR HOLDING’S USD 10M SENEGAL FACTORY STARTS MANUFACTUR­ING

Furniture, constructi­on, retail, and energy company Doganlar Holding has set up its first overseas production plant in Senegal with a USD 10m investment, according to Davut Dogan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Doganlar Holding. The plant will begin furniture production in February. The holding company is also working on a USD 106m Marketplac­e and Truck Parking project in Dakar, the capital of Senegal. The company recently launched its 10th store in Dakar. “We have over 200 concept stores in 36 countries on four continents, from Paris to London, from New York to Berlin. We’ll make more investment­s in Africa this year, including retail stores and projects in the region,” Dogan noted. Libya, Nigeria, Liberia, Zambia, Angola, Kenya, Uganda, and South Africa will be their target markets, with second stores planned in four of these countries. KERIM ULKER
